Friends in Hope is an NGO registered with the Registrar of Associations of Mauritius. Registration No: 5139. It is accredited with the CSR programme : Accreditation No: N/1057.

We need all the financial help we can get both to carry out our rehabilitation, counselling and advocacy activities and to fund our development projects.

Friends in Hope benefits from the financial support of a number of private and institutional donors. The most important expenditure items are salaries as nearly all our employees are mental health care professionals, our therapy activities, rentals and other running expenses.

Our coming projects include:

• Increasing our efforts to destigmatize mental illness and foster social reintegration of patients.
• Training for beneficiaries of our Day Centre who have been promoted to “trainees” in order to help them find full-time or part-time work.
• Reinforce the therapy skills of our team of professional carers through further training courses.
• Seek funding for the construction of a building which will house the day services of Friends in Hope, with permanent residential facilities for around twenty persons on the upper two floors on a piece of land kindly offered to us by the Anglican Diocese of Mauritius.
